Francophonie Contest for Schools


During Francophonie Month, Villa Albertine is organizing two contests for children with the theme “The Cultural Diversity of the Francophonie". One is open to primary school teachers at AEFE schools or part of a FLAM association, and the other is for teachers of French in American middle schools or high schools.

1. Contest for primary school teachers at AEFE schools or part of a FLAM association: 

Thanks to Bayard, you could win a set of books for your class and six months of subscription for the winning children.

Contest theme: "The Cultural Diversity of the Francophonie"
Create a drawing that represents one or more countries or regions that share the French language. You can take inspiration from traditional clothing, landscapes, festivals, food, monuments, music, characters, or anything that reflects the diversity of the French-speaking world.

Format: free drawing (pencils, markers, paint, collage, etc.)

Who can participate? All children and teenagers who want to celebrate Francophonie creatively!

Productions must be sent by email (laura.durand@villa-albertine.org) or by mail before March 16th at the latest.


2. Contest for teachers of French in American middle schools or high schools:

Contest theme:  “The Cultural Diversity of the Francophonie”
Create an individual or collective literary and/or artistic work representing the cultural diversity of the French-speaking world (e.g., food, flags, traditions, etc.).

Format: It can visuals, drawings, poems, a newspaper page, a video... The format is open! 

Prize: a $300 book gift certificate for the class.

Productions must be sent by email (laura.durand@villa-albertine.org) or by mail before March 23rd at the latest.
