Arma Jackson, real name Jordan Mfumu-Kanda Dhi, born 23 January 1995 in Lausanne, is a Swiss singer-songwriter. He has given life to all of his musical projects within the walls of his family home in Lausanne, Switzerland. First guided by his older brothers' passion for rap, Arma gradually opened his ears to different genres, from Michael Jackson and Coldplay, to the chanson of Charles Aznavour, to create his own unique musical style: a melding of genres include hip-hop, rap, neo-soul, pop, and house music.
One day, a friend lends him an electric piano for children with which he will learn to play the piano by himself. He will also learn to play the guitar and to sing. It was in his room that Jordan wrote, composed and recorded his first songs. He then chose "Arma Jackson" as his stage name in reference to Michael Jackson, one of his greatest influences, and to "Armafricaine" his first rap group.
His first album, Idéal, was released last year. The recipient of the 2021 Swiss Music Award for Best Artist from Francophone Switzerland, Arma Jackson is making a name for himself beyond Swiss borders.
